The kitchen photographed for this book was part of a major renovation of a 1950's house. Taking advantage of a park like setting of the back yard,the existing kitchen space was enlarged which gave the homeowner not only a more functional kitchen, but it also included a comfortable breakfast area which overlooked the back yard and pool area.The homeowner wanted a kitchen to have a country French feeling with interesting accessories and antique artwork. The end result was a cheerful space that has become the most popular room of the house.
